Lots of changes
at The Full Boonah in 2008.
Thanks to everyone
who has wished us well since reading in
the local paper about Simon’s return to good health.
And thanks to Wendy and The
Guardian for printing it. It’s not
every day you get a brain tumour
story with a happy ending!
Because we plan to
spend at least 12 months celebrating –
and relaxing – we are selling off many of our business assets. We’ll still call Boonah home for the time
being because the location and lifestyle must obviously get some credit
for
Simon’s renewed health but we’re letting go of all Boonah-based
business
activities ...
... to concentrate
more on internet-based business, giving us the freedom to travel again.
Sign business needs new owner …
The search is on for
a friendly, experienced sign-maker to
become the new owner of our sign business so if you know any
sign-makers who
would enjoy the tree-change and the challenge of a busy sign shop,
please point
them in our direction.
Anyone with the
skills for computer cutting and wide-format
printing will find we have all the technology they’ll need – and
because we're in a hurry to move on, we’re willing
to sell it all cheap.
Meanwhile, we’re
committed to continuing to meet the needs
of our many customers. We will be
closed on Wednesdays and weekends (enjoying more ‘family’ time is
already high
on our list of priorities) so we’ll be fitting all our sign-making
tasks into
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday only.
Canvas prints …
Yes, we’re still
doing wide-format canvas prints of your
favourite photos as part of the sign business. We're also still
printing digital photos.
Commercial building …
We are currently
considering options for the future of our
building at 2 Church Street, Boonah and we are happy to sell it or
lease it –
so please approach us quickly with either type of offer. If you need retail or workshop space with
the luxury of off-street parking, give us a call.
The building at 2
Church is huge with parking at both front
and rear and can be divided to accommodate multiple tenants, so please
discuss your needs with us and we’ll see what we can do for you.
Important note: This is a very exciting time for
us. The past 11 years since Simon’s
surgery and radiotherapy has been a real
roller-coaster ride. Because he has
just been told his brain has ‘self-healed’ (including the area doctors
warned
would be destroyed by the radiotherapy) and has been successfully taken
off all
medication, we want to start celebrating right now.
So here’s a hint for
anyone interested in buying the
building as an investment property …
We’ll drop the price significantly if you’re offering fast
settlement. Sorry but we are rejecting
long settlement periods.
Other items for sale …
- Stage, theatre lights, spotlight,
black curtains, lighting desk plus all the extension cords.
- About 12 sets of double bunks from
the Sydney Olympic
Village, (ie 24 single beds, still boxed. Been
in storage.) Includes
ladders, safety rails, and Sleepmaker mattresses. Perfect
for cabins, holiday units, or backpacker accommodation.
- Plus any of our other business
assets that may have caught your eye but aren't listed here.
- Indigenous Art will soon be
returning to Central Australia, so if you're after a painting or
didgeridoo now is the time to buy it.
What’s gone …
- Family History and personalised
photo products have been
sold already. Now located in Canberra.
- Mobile food van has also been sold. After years of no water and no kiosk,
campers and visitors to Lake Moogerah are now able to enjoy lots of
water in
the dam and hot food from the food van thanks to the new owner
